Bink Grimes is a USCG licensed captain and full-time freelance outdoor writer and photographer. Grimes is on the board of directors for the Texas Outdoor Writers Association and a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, where he has won numerous writing and photography awards. He also writes the Weekly Coastal Fishing Report and Weekly Migratory Bird Hunting Report for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department that is distributed by the Associated Press to every newspaper in Texas, while also writing a weekly column for the Bay City Tribune, Seguin Gazette and the Baytown Sun
